the chance to gain a Foundation Degree in IT Networking and

Our
Foundation Degree has been designed in collaboration with local
employers and the programme equips students with the knowledge,
understanding and skills relevant to the needs of the IT
industry.
Students will develop skills that enable them
to administer hardware and software networking environments and
gain a good understanding of the skills required to implement and
maintain scalable and resilient networks.
Areas of study
Introduction to networking, fundamentals of
programming, computer systems, data modelling, professional and
academic development, systems analysis and development, windows
server 2008 administration, advanced networking, web development,
personal development and planning, network implementation and
server security. Students also undertake a work-related
project.
Not only will your employees gain the
Foundation Degree but also embedded within this degree are a range
of professional qualifications. Bedford College holds Academy
status with CISCO, CompTIA and Microsoft and your employees will
have the opportunity to gain the following professional
certifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Cisco IT Essentials 1
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Security+
- CompTIA Network+
- Microsoft IT Professional certifications
