IT User Apprenticeships

Over three quarters of people use IT in their job including over 90% of managers, professionals, associated professionals and secretarial and administrative staff. Employers who report skills gaps state that over a third of their workforce does not have the IT User skills they need.

The IT User Apprenticeships both have three components:

  • ITQ Diploma in IT User Skills
You can choose from a wide range of units to fit the employee’s job role. Each unit is allocated a number of credits and the candidate must achieve the required number of credits at a specified level to achieve the qualification.
  • Functional Skills in Maths, English & ICT
Candidates who already hold the required level of qualification are exempt
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities
This provides evidence that the candidate is aware of their own responsibilities and those of the employer

  • Level 2 ITQ Diploma in IT User Skills (38 credits)

  • Attendance at College for short courses, workshops, evening classes or infilling into daytime classes
  • On-the-job training
  • Distance learning
  • External training courses

The most appropriate method of study will be agreed with the employer.
