Bedford College gallops to advise businesses at White Horse breakfast club
Bedford College’s award-winning sales and
marketing team were represented at the Network in Bedford
(NIB) business breakfast at the White Horse pub in Newnham
Avenue.
Business Development Manager Karl Ringsell
talked through “Training Solutions for Employers” and how Bedford
College provided NVQs, apprenticeships, short courses and bespoke
training courses for companies.
The areas covered included Business &
Management, IT, marketing,
H & S and skills for life such as basic
Maths and English - as well as whole range of
industry-specific training.
Some of the training could be provided free or
at least subsidised because the College can access Government
funding for key courses. For instance, the cost of certain
Leadership & Management courses could be funded by up to 50% by
the Government - but hurry this needs to be booked before the end
of the year, said Karl.
Among the audience at the invitation-only club
was HR expert Carol Scott who was interested to learn that Bedford
College could help one of her clients in Cambridgeshire with an
apprentice. Bedford College training extends into neighbouring
counties. It has an Accountancy and IT academy in Milton Keynes and
a Learning Centre in Rushden.
Network in Bedford meets every other Thursday
at the White Horse pub in Newnham Avenue, Bedford where landlord
Nigel is leading member - and prepares a delicious cooked breakfast
for members. Anyone interested in attending should contact http://www.nibeds.co.uk/
