Marketing Magician draws in crowds

How to make the most of on-line marketing - at no cost, was the general theme of a top talk by the man the BBC call The Marketing Magician.

Stefan Drew pulled in a crowd of nearly 200 in the theatre at the Bedford College, South Bank Arts Centre.

They heard how by using simple techniques they could increase their profile on the world wide web - without using expensive Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) organisations.

This was the second talk organised by Bedford College and the Bedford Branch of the British Computing Society

Bedford College computer lecturer Sue Brandreth hosted the event and was as enthusiastic about Stefan’s expertise as any among the audience - she pointed out that his work was not about being a “techie” but about applying marketing common sense to a free global resource.

Afterwards Stefan said: “I was very pleased with the numbers - not only did people ask questions during and after - but people have been emailing me ever since.”

Stefan has kindly made available his PowerPoint presentation which is available for download here (6,949KB)
